COVID-19 |
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies' recommendations.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
• |
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. We'll ask these screening questions again and take your child's temperature when you arrive at the office in order to ensure that nothing has changed since the phone conversation.
|
• |
To protect other families, please wear a mask or face cover when visiting the office.
|
• |
We will provide hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the office for you to use as needed.
|
• |
Unfortunately, we can no longer provide magazines, children's toys, etc. in the waiting room will no longer offer because these items cannot be adequately cleaned and disinfected.
|
• |
Appointments will be scheduled to ensure adequate personal distancing between patients. This might mean that there will be fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
|
• |
Anyone who test positive for COVID-19 or comes in contact with someone who has in the 14 days prior to an appointment will need to have their appointment reschedule. This includes someone within the patients household testing positive, but not the patient themself.
|
• |
Parent or guardian will be asked to wait outside of the office during the duration of your child's visit, and will be notified when the appointment has concluded.
|
• |
We ask that one (only one at this time) parent or guardian accompany your child to the office. Nannies and other childcare options are not allowed to accompany children for the time being. |
We look forward to seeing you again and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you and your child safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (206) 535-8189.
Thank you for your patience during this challenging period of time. We are looking look forward seeing you soon. |
